Canon hat heute die Canon EOS 5DS / 5DS R vorgestellt. Es sind 50MP Kameras im Gewande eine 5DIII. Der einzige Unterschied zwischen den beiden Kameras ist, dass die S-Version einen optischen Tiefpassfilter hat, währent die R Version einen selbsteleminierenden (self-cancelling) Tiefpassfilter verwendet. Der Tiefpassfilter wurde laut Canon in der R-Version nicht einfach weggelassen, weil dies Auswirkungen auf den Stahlengang gehabt habe und daher der Entwicklungsaufwand für die R-Version deutlichhöher gewesen wäre als auf diesem Weg.

DXO vergleicht die Sensoren der Sensoren Canon EOS5Ds & r, Sony A7r und Nikon D810. Das Ergebnis fällt (nicht unerwartet) nicht sonderlich gut für die Canon aus.

Landscape scores of 14.8Ev for the D810, compared to 12.4Ev for the 5DS, put the Nikon over two stops ahead, and the A7R just under two stops ahead with 14.1Ev. Despite this wide gap at base ISO, however, the gap narrows significantly as sensitivity is increased and by ISO800, all three sensors offer the same Dynamic Range. So the D810 and the A7R have an advantage for Dynamic Range only between ISO50 and ISO400, but this two-stop advantage will be significant for photographers shooting at the lower ISO sensitivities.[/quote]

Ich vermute, dass die Canon im Vergleich zur Sony A7rII noch abgeschlagener liegen wird.

Hey, 10MP - so hat Sony mal angefangen, mit der Sony-A100, die von den DxO-Tests her schwächer war als der bescheidene Vorgänger, die KonicaMinolta Dynax 5d!!!

Das war 2006. 2015 haben wir 42 MP bei Sony, 50 bei Canon, aber hallo. Das sind doch wieder willkommene Fortschritte. Wer wirklich gute Planar-Typ-Optiken hat, kann sich auf Nutzung von 1/2 bis 1/4 aller Pixel beschränken und dadurch alle ohne optische Bank möglichen perspektivischen Korrekturen hinkriegen und hat immer noch Bilder von 10+ Megapixeln. Genug zur Postkartenproduktion allemal

Wer Canon gewohnt ist, aber dem genau die genannte Möglichkeit noch fehlt und sie kommerziell verwerten kann, kann das Ding gebrauchen.

Weitere Anwendung: Supernaturalistische Portraits mit unbarmherziger Detaildarstellung bis in die Poren, und das in DIN A1 ausgedruckt.

Oder ultradetailreiche Veduten. Sprich: Messbare Nachteile in Dynamik, Farbtiefe und Rauschen, was solls, bei gutem Licht fotografiert fällt das kaum ins Gewicht, da überwiegt für den Canonianer, dass das Ding das alte Canon-Feeling hat. Und es ist ne richtige DSLR, wann gibt's sowas schon von Sony?
