Sony erweitert die erfolgreiche NEX-Serie ab August 2011 um ein neues, ultra-kompaktes Modell für Ein- und Aufsteiger. Die edle NEX-C3 begeistert mit der Bildqualität einer Spiegelreflexkamera (16,2 Megapixel), Wechseloptiken, brillanten HD Videos sowie einer neuen Menüführung und kreativen Bildeffekten. Sony baut die Vielseitigkeit der NEX-Serie außerdem mit einem neuen 30 Millimeter Makro-Objektiv, einem leistungsstarken Blitz sowie einem Firmware-Update für die NEX-5 und NEX-3 aus.

Handlich und stylish wie eine Kompakte, leistungsstark wie eine Spiegelreflexkamera - diesem Erfolgsrezept bleibt auch die NEX-C3 treu. Mit ihrem optimierten Design, neuen Funktionalitäten und technischen Feinheiten ist die NEX-C3 eine attraktive Alternative zur Spiegelreflexkamera. Besonders Aufsteiger aus dem Kompaktkamera-Bereich profitieren von den umfangreichen Automatik-Funktionen, die ihnen den Weg zu professionell anmutenden Aufnahmen ebnen.

Leistung auf höchstem Niveau: Bildsensor und Verschlusszeiten

Dass in der NEX-C3 die Eigenschaften einer semi-professionellen Kamera schlummern, verrät schon ihr Exmor APS-C HD CMOS Sensor: Er ist genauso groß wie der Bildsensor einer Spiegelreflexkamera und reduziert so das Bildrauschen deutlich. Zudem ermöglicht er eine Auflösung von effektiv 16,2 Megapixel sowie eine hohe Lichtempfindlichkeit von ISO 12.800.

Ebenso leistungsstark präsentiert sich der Hochleistungsverschluss der NEX-C3 mit Belichtungszeiten zwischen 1/4000 und 30 Sekunden. Er erlaubt die Aufnahme von 5,5 Serienbildern pro Sekunde und ermöglicht damit umfangreiche Serienbild-Optionen. Hierzu gehört beispielsweise der Schwenkpanorama-Modus, der beeindruckende Panoramen wahlweise in 2D oder 3D aufnimmt. Auch die HDR-Automatik, also die Erstellung eines Bildes mit ausgewogener Dynamik durch drei verschiedene Belichtungen eines Motivs, erlaubt brillante Bilder selbst bei anspruchsvollen Lichtverhältnissen. Dies gilt auch für den der Dämmerungs-Modus, der sogar sechs verschiedene Aufnahmen für ein Foto kombiniert.

Einfach und kreativ: Automatik-Modi und Menü für Einsteiger

Panorama-, HDR- und Dämmerungs-Fotos bilden jedoch nur einen Teil der Kreativ-Optionen, die vor allem Einsteigern den Fotospaß erleichtern. Spezielle Unschärfeeffekte wie die manuelle Hintergrundunschärfe geben Bildern spielend leicht einen professionellen Look. Sie sind sowohl im Foto- als auch im Videomodus verfügbar. Letzteres ist umso reizvoller, da die NEX-C3 Videos in High Definition (720p) aufnimmt. Gleiches gilt für die sieben neuen Bildeffekte wie beispielsweise der "Monochrom-, Retro- oder Pop-Look" sowie der Modus "Partielle Farbe", die teilweise sogar miteinander kombiniert werden können (bis zu elf Variationen). Zu den Gestaltungs-Optionen zählen auch der Soft-Skin Effekt, der bei Portrait-Aufnahmen Falten glättet und Hautunreinheiten beseitigt.

Damit die Vielfalt der Funktionen und Automatik-Modi überschaubar bleibt und leicht zu handhaben ist, wurde die Bedienoberfläche übersichtlicher gestaltet und intuitiver benannt. So werden aus den technischen Termini "Blende", "Belichtung" und "Weißabgleich" im neuen Menü "Hintergrundunschärfe", Helligkeit" und "Farbe". Zusätzlich sorgt eine neue Menüstruktur für kürzere Wege zu den wichtigsten Einstellungen, so dass sich der Nutzer nicht mehr durch mehrere Ebenen klicken muss. Über das Kontrollrad lassen sich außerdem die Auswirkungen einer veränderten Einstellung sofort auf dem Display prüfen, selbst wenn verschiedene Effekte miteinander kombiniert werden. Neu ist auch die Peaking Anzeige, die in drei Stufen und drei Farben das manuelle Scharfstellen erleichtert.

Neben den neuen Funktionen ergänzen viele bewährte Automatik-Modi die Ausstattung der NEX-C3. Dazu zählen der intelligente Automatikmodus, der die Aufnahmesituation selbständig analysiert und alle Einstellungen anpasst, die Lächelautomatik und eine Gesichtserkennung für bis zu acht verschiedene Gesichter pro Bild.

Stylish und flexibel: optimiertes Design und kompatible Optiken

Die NEX-C3 ist in Schwarz und Silber erhältlich und leicht an ihrem neu gestalteten Design zu erkennen. Das griffige, ergonomisch geformte Gehäuse aus Polycarbonat kombiniert Solidität und Wertigkeit mit leichter Handhabung. Die Größe der Kamera konnte gegenüber dem Vorgängermodell NEX-3 noch einmal um sechs Prozent reduziert werden, ihr Gewicht beträgt nunmehr nur noch 225 Gramm. Damit ist die neue NEX-C3 die kleinste und leichteste Systemkamera mit Wechseloptik und APS-C Bildsensor.[1]

Angesichts des kompakten Kameragehäuses ist das Display größzügig dimensioniert. Der 7,5 Zentimeter große Xtra Fine LC-Monitor mit TruBlack-Technologie und 921.600 Bildpunkten ist besonders kontrastreich und flexibel schwenkbar.

Nicht nur Flexibilität, sondern vor allem Kreativität verspricht auch das umfangreiche Portfolio an kompatiblen Wechseloptiken. Besitzer einer NEX-Kamera können zwischen vier verschiedenen E-Mount Objektiven wählen. Optional lassen sich über den Adapterring LA-EA1 auch mehr als 30 Alpha A-Mount Optiken von Sony sowie circa 90 Minolta und Konica Minolta Objektive[2] mit der neuen NEX nutzen.

Sofort durchstarten: Blitz- und Ladegerät im Lieferumfang

Im Lieferumfang sind sowohl ein externes, kompaktes Blitzgerät enthalten, als auch ein Akku und das entsprechende Ladegerät BC-VW1. Die Akku-Betriebsdauer wurde im Vergleich zur NEX-5 und NEX-3 um 20 Prozent gesteigert, d.h. mit einer voll geladenen Batterie lassen sich nun bis zu 400 Bilder aufnehmen. Natürlich gehören auch eine Aufbewahrungshülle für den Blitz, ein Schulterriemen, ein USB-Kabel sowie ein umfangreiches Softwarepaket zur Grundausstattung.

Optional erweiterbar: neues Blitzgerät und praktisches Zubehör

Mit dem neuen E-Mount Zubehör sind alle Besitzer einer NEX-Kamera bestens ausgerüstet: Maximale Reserven bietet das Zubehör-Kit ACC-FW1E mit Tasche, Schutzfilter und Akku. Für die Sicherheit unterwegs sorgen zwei praktische Taschen. Der neue externe Blitz HVL-F20S eignet sich dank beweglichem Kopf und LZ20 (50 Millimeter Objektiv, ISO 100) für kreative Blitzlichteffekte bei Außen- und Innenaufnahmen. Das Leichtgewicht benötigt keinen Akku, da es über den Zubehörschuh direkt an die NEX-Kamera angeschlossen wird und von dort seine Ladungsenergie bezieht.

Auch die Auswahl an Speicherkarten lässt kaum Wünsche offen, die NEX-C3 ist sowohl mit Memory Sticks als auch SD, SDHC und SDXC Speicherkarten kompatibel. Mit dem ultraschnellen Memory Stick PRO-HG Duo™ HX von Sony lässt sich das Potenzial des neuen Modells voll ausschöpfen. Die Speicherkarte bietet Datenübertragungs-Geschwindigkeiten von bis zu 50 Megabyte pro Sekunde und ist für kontinuierliche Serienbildaufnahmen mit den aktuellen E- und A-Mount Alpha-Kameras von Sony optimiert.

Zubehör-Tipp: das neue Makro-Objektiv SEL-30M35/F3.5

Der ganz besondere Reiz einer Systemkamera liegt in der Möglichkeit, sie mit verschiedenen Optiken zu kombinieren. Zeitgleich mit der neuen NEX-C3 stellt Sony daher ein neues Makro-Objektiv vor. Das neue SEL-30M35/F3.5 ist mit seinen 138 Gramm das derzeit leichteste Makro-Objektiv für Systemkameras. Es eignet sich für Nahaufnahmen bis zu einem minimalen Motivabstand von 9,5 Zentimetern. Drei Objektiv-Elemente mit asphärischer Oberfläche wirken jeder Verzeichnung entgegen. Der Autofokus arbeitet bei der Foto- und Videoaufnahme gleichermaßen leise und schnell.

Mehr Kreativität: Firmware-Update für NEX-3 und NEX-5

Alle Besitzer einer NEX-3 oder NEX-5 profitieren ebenfalls von den Neuheiten des E-Mount Systems. Sony stellt Ende Juni 2011 ein kostenloses Firmware-Update (Version 4) zur Verfügung. Registrierte Nutzer einer NEX-5 oder NEX-3 können sich ab 20. Juni die Software unter http://www.sony.de/service herunterladen. Das Update erweitert den Funktionsumfang der Modelle um neue kreative Bildeffekte sowie eine Peaking-Funktion zur besseren manuellen Scharfstellung.

NEX-C3

The new α NEX-C3 by Sony is the world's smallest, lightest interchangeable lens digital camera in its class.

Offered in a choice of stylish colours, the NEX-C3 features an attractive new body design that combines a satisfyingly solid metal top casing with an easy-to-use streamlined grip shape. Reducing the size of main circuitry shrinks camera body weight to just 225g - that's almost 6% less than the NEX-3.

Image quality, functions and usability of the NEX-C3 also surpasses that of the NEX-3.

Resolution of the large Exmor™ APS HD CMOS sensor is boosted to 16.2 effective megapixels, capturing stills and 720p HD video with breath-taking clarity. The large, DSLR-sized sensor also lets you produce pro-quality ‘bokeh' background defocus effects, whether you're shooting HD video or stills.

Even if you're not familiar with specialist photo jargon, the NEX-C3 puts sophisticated picture controls within easy reach, whether you're shooting stills or HD video. The intuitive new Photo Creativity interface replaces technical terms like ‘aperture', ‘exposure value' and ‘white balance' with the friendlier and more intuitive ‘background defocus', ‘brightness' and ‘colour'.

There's no need to dig into confusing menu options or guess their effect on your composition. Just turn the camera's rear-mounted control wheel and instantly see the effect of your settings previewed on screen. If you wish, two or more different settings can be combined to create more sophisticated creative effects.

A new in-camera ‘Picture Effect' setting lets users add extra impact to stills or HD video during shooting, without the worry of editing images afterwards. ‘Picture Effect' options include Partial Colour, Retro Photo, Pop Colour, High Contrast Monochrome, Posterisation, High-key and Toy Camera. There's also a ‘Soft Skin' effect that removes wrinkles and blemishes from portrait subjects.

Tilting for comfortable viewing at any angle, the high contrast 7.5cm Xtra Fine LCD features TruBlack screen technology for high-contrast images with rich, deep blacks. It's a great way to compose shots and judge the effect of adjusting picture settings, even when you're viewing outdoors in bright sunlight.

Advanced multi-frame imaging technologies by Sony broaden the possibilities of the NEX-C3 further still.3D Sweep Panorama captures extra-wide images in 3D to enjoy on your 3D TV. Auto HDR ‘stacks' a high speed burst of three successive exposures to capture extreme shadow and highlight details in a single frame. Similarly, Handheld Twilight and Anti-Motion Blur modes automatically combine six exposures to capture smooth, low-noise images: this avoids hand-blur and subject-blur when you're shooting in available light.

The NEX-C3 works even harder to capture more amazing images and HD video between battery charges. Improved energy efficiency boosts battery stamina to a generous 400 still shots per charge - over 20% more than the NEX-3/NEX-5.

New E-mount 30mm macro lens ("E 30mm F3.5 Macro" and accessories
The versatility of the α E-mount compact camera system grows with new style-matched accessories to expand your shooting possibilities even further.

Joining the range of E-mount interchangeable lenses, the SEL30M35 is currently the world's lightest1 life-size macro lens (138g) for interchangeable-lens cameras. This high-quality 30mm F3.5 macro lens features a 1:1 magnification ratio and minimum working distance of just 2.4 cm, making it ideal for capturing detail-packed close-ups of small subjects like flowers and insects. Despite its extremely compact size, the SEL30M35 employs one ED glass and three aspherical lens elements for excellent optical performance, with minimised aberration and very high edge-to-edge sharpness and contrast. It also offers smooth, quiet autofocus operation whether you're shooting stills or HD video. The macro lens is supplied with a matching lens hood.

HVL-F20S Flash

Also available as an option, the new HVL-F20S is a style-matching flash that clips onto the camera's Smart Accessory Terminal. Powered directly by the camera, the flash requires no batteries, achieving an ultra-compact size and light weight when you're travelling. With a generous GN20 (50mm, at ISO 100, m) flash power rating and adjustable head, it's ideal for creating natural fill-in and bounce flash effects with portraits and everyday shooting subjects.

The expanded range of co-ordinating accessories features a new body case/lens jacket, soft carrying case, straps and value accessory kits.

Available from June 20th, a firmware upgrade for existing NEX-5 and NEX-3 cameras adds the new ‘Picture Effect' function as introduced on the new NEX‑C3.
