Mit Datum von heute gibt Sony die Veröffentlichung von "Basic" Spezifikationen des E-Mounts für Drittanbieter bekannt, siehe hier.
Wenn das die Spezifikation für den Autofokus mit einschließt dürfte das endlich mal ein geschickter Schachzug von Sony sein.

Und da auch Sigma zu den Interessenten gehoert, bringen sie es vielleicht sogar fertig fuer immerhin 2 Kamerasysteme wirklich 100% kompatible Objektive zu entwickeln.

Wahrscheinlich beides, denn die Tatsache, daß Sony Fremdanbietern die Spezifikationen des E-Bajonetts öffnen will, war ja schon seit der photokina im letzten September zu hören. Novoflex soll ja schon damals die mechanischen Spezifikationen erhalten haben, allerdings nichts über das elektrische Interface.

Before filing application, please read the "Conditions And Limitations" and "Application Procedure" below.

Conditions And Limitations*1
You may use the Basic Specifications for lenses and/or mount adopters only, NOT for manufacturing, selling or otherwise disposing of other products.
Disclosure is made only to legal entities which satisfy the qualification criteria predefined by Sony, as a licensee of the Basic Specifications. Application from individuals will be declined.
Application must be written either in ENGLISH or in JAPANESE. (The Basic Specifications to be provided by Sony are either in English or in Japanese only.)
There will not be any license fees required for the license. However, a part of expenses related to distribution of the Basic Specifications will be charged to the applicant.

*1 Sony may change the conditions herein at its sole discretion.

For the purpose of maintaining the compatibility and product image of the "E-mount" products, Sony will evaluate the qualification of each applicant as a licensee of the Basic Specifications based on predefined criteria. Only the company which satisfies such criteria may apply for the Basic Specifications license.
The procedure of application will be as follows:

Singing Non-Disclosure Agreement
Applicants are required to sign the Non-disclosure agreement, since Sony and applicants need to disclose to each other confidential information for qualification evaluation and licensing process. Please download 2 copies of the Non-disclosure agreement form (one for Sony's file and one for the applicant's file) from the link in this homepage, have them signed by the relevant representative of your company and send both of them with your contact information (name of the contact person and company address) to the Inquiry & Admission Office by post.
Document Necessary for Application
Upon receipt of the Non-disclosure agreement with signature, the following materials will be delivered to the applicant.
One copy of Non-disclosure agreement countersigned by Sony
Application form
List of documents required for qualification evaluation by Sony
List of qualification criteria
Application for the Basic Specifications License
Only the applicant who is capable of proving its conformity to the qualification criteria can proceed to application for the Basic Specifications license. Please apply by filling in necessary information in the supplied application form and send it to the Inquiry & Admission Office by post, together with other required documents listed in the list above.
Evaluation at Sony and dispatch of licensing agreement
Sony will go through and review all of the documentation from the applicant to see if the applicant is eligible for a potential licensee of the Basic Specifications. If the applicant passes the evaluation, Sony will dispatch two copies of the licensing agreement. Sony may ask applicants to submit their company information during this process.
Signing of the agreement
If you agree on the terms and conditions of the licensing agreement, make two copies (one for Sony's file and one for the applicant's file) both signed by the relevant representative of your company and send them to the Inquiry & Admission Office by post.
Disclosure of the Basic Specifications
After the execution of the licensing agreement by the applicant and Sony, Sony will disclose the Basic Specification to the applicant in the manner determined by Sony.
