Sony bietet eine neue Firmware 2.00 (2015-06-16) für die Sony ILCE-6000 zum kostenlosen Download an.

Gegenüber der zwei Monate alten Firmware 1.21 bringt diese eine schnellere Hochfahrzeit und Unterstützung für das XAVC-S-Format. Seltsamerweise werden aber nicht alle Verbesserungen früherer Updates aufgezählt. Auf den amerikanischen Seiten wird als letzter Stand zuvor die über ein Jahr alte Version 1.20 ausgewiesen.

Firmware update for α7, α7R, α7S and α6000
Update delivers 30% increase in start-up speed

Sony today released a firmware update for the α7, α7R, α7S and α6000 interchangeable lens cameras.

Available now as free download from the Sony website, the firmware update reduces the time between switching on the camera to viewing a picture on the LCD screen or OLED viewfinder by 30%[ii].

The update also enables high bit-rate movie recording at 50p/25p in PAL and 60p/30p/24p in NTSC[iii] in the highly efficient XAVC S format[iv]

It is applicable for all qualifying models that have software version 1.21 or earlier and all new models will now ship with the updated firmware.

This utility updates the ILCE-6000 camera firmware to version 2.00 and provides the following benefits:

Improvements over version 1.20:

- The startup time is shortened
- Adds support for recording movies in the XAVC S format that supports high bit rates (NTSC: 60p/30p/24p PAL: 50p/25p)
Notes:
When recording a movie in the XAVC S format, you must use a Class 10 or faster SDXC card.
If you format the memory card, all of the data will be erased. Please make sure that the data on the card is backed up before formatting the card.
